Overview
As far back as 1913, people having been coming to the Sandbar on Anna Maria Island to have great food and entertainment right on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, back then they could only get there by boat, but that just shows you the determination of the people on the Gulf Coast. All those many years ago people knew the value of a great Florida beach bar.
The Sandbar is located on the north end of Anna Maria Island and one of the few Florida beach bars that sits right in the sand. Anna Maria Island is special because it is a bit of old Florida.
