Overview
The Blue Parrot sits right on the beach in beautiful St. George Island near Apalachicola. This restaurant has good local seafood and a great view of the Gulf of Mexico and parts of St. George Island. This Florida beach bar attracts people who are visiting St. George Island but also those spending the day on the beach. We'll admit that this is more restaurant than Florida beach bar, but The Blue Parrot has a gorgeous location right on the beach. Yes they do have a bar.
Seasonally, you might find live music but most likely you will find fun filled events such as Mullet Toss or Chili Cook Off. You can walk up from the beach and order a nice lunch and sit back and enjoy the views while drinking your cold beverage.
The Blue Parrot has an upper deck that provides shade from the sun. There is also a small tiki bar at beach level that is an awesome place to relax and chat with your neighbor. The Blue Parrot started years ago as a tiny beer and hot dog stand. The name has been changed since then and the menu expanded. There are also new owners who are passionate about serving the freshest local seafood. Yum, Apalachicola oysters.
You might find live musical entertainment on the weekends. The rest of the time you may catch a dolphin or two playing in the Gulf and a fantastic Florida beach bar sunset. Dolphins playing and pretty sunsets are great entertainment at this Florida beach bar.
